NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio – State Rep. Robert Sprague (R-Findlay) will attend a legislative forum for Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative members on Wednesday, October 10 from 8:30 - 10 a.m. at the company office in North Baltimore.

The event will discuss topics that impact members directly, including political issues affecting Hancock-Wood and its rates, where Rep. Sprague is scheduled to address timely topics in government. Those in attendance will be able to voice their concerns over legislative decisions that influence electric cooperatives’ day-to-day operations. Representative Sprague, who represents the 76th District of the Ohio House of Representatives, was sworn into office in February 2011.

We demonstrate our Concern for Community by volunteering and donating to local charitable causes. Nearly $500,000 in grants have been distributed in the last decade through grants and Operation Round Up funds to individuals and organizations in need. Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative has granted more than $100,000 in scholarships within the last decade. An additional Power Systems Engineer (PSE) Scholarship has been added to the program. The winner of this scholarship is eligible for paid internship(s) in the co-op’s engineering department. learn more
